1967 Chevy Flatbed
POSTED 2/1/2008 - PL
1971967 Chevrolet C-30 1Ton Dually Flatbed.
Clear Arizona title with current plates and emissions stamp.
454 4bbl, TH400, Gear Vendors OD, GM 14 Bolt full floater with 4.11 gears.
Purchased at Barrett-Jackson few years back - drives, shows,
and tows with no hesitation or advanced preparation.
Various modifications and upgrades were fabricated to make the truck
more applicable to current safety and usage needs (towing, hauling, and showing)
and the driving behaviors of our current roads.
Receipts and extensive pictures of the restoration are available for review to qualified
buyers.
Drivetrain
New Gear Vendors unit, new control module, updated wiring to controller.
GM 14 bolt complete rebuild - new bearings (Timken), new ring and pinion
(Yukon 4.11), new seals, new bolts (Randy's Ring and Pinion premium package).
New Eaton limited slip differential. Backlash and pattern matching documented.
Broken in for first 500 miles with premium Lucas Oil differential fluid.
Replaced with Lucas 80/90 HD gear oil after break-in.
TH400 Auto with trans cooler mounted forward of radiator, Lokar shifter in cab
Suspension, Tires, and Brakes
New tires (6) on all corners (BFG Commercial A/S front, BFG Commercial
TA rear for non-pavement traction).
New 13" brake drums, lug studs and bolts, and all brake components.
New steel wheels (8 lug, 16" rims) black powder coat (20% low sheen).
Front brakes refreshed and reset
All bearings repacked and regreased
New shocks all around (Rancho 9000x load selectable in the rear,
NAPA Monroe GasMatic truck shocks in front).
New Moog coils in front, tested and kept the rear leafs installed
with new U-Bolts from Dunbar Spring.
Rebuilt and balanced (both static & dynamic).
New greasble u-joints and hardware/straps.
Fuel & Electrical
Stainless steel gas tank with Aeroquip line and Earls connectors from tank to engine
New wiring harness from cab/power source back through the entire flatbed complex.
Power and ground on 10 gauge, switch circuits and lights on 12/14 ga, signal and relays on
16ga.
Overland truck power distribution boxes (2) installed under rear cross member of flatbed.
All electrical connections soldered/crimped and secured with adhesive lined weather
proof heat shrink tubing.
New Battery and 2/0 gauge wires
Flatbed
Custom designed and built rear end and hitch (4x2 steel C-channel)
Custom build flatbed frame. Fabricated from reinforced square tubing,
4x2 C-channel main spans, and 0.25 steel side plates.
Flatbed surfaced in 1 5/8 thick tongue and groove Appeape wood (teak family).
Wood sealed and surfaced with wet saturation epoxy (West 105/207 system).
Custom CNC machined Mac's Custom Tie-Down VersaTrac tracks run front-rear on both sides.
2" Tow receiver built into rear frame with both 4-pin flat and 7-pin RV connectors.
