Truck has had work done to get and keep it running. It had been sitting for about five years when I got it four years ago. It is in working, running condition. Burns a little oil but not unusual for its age. Currently registered and I have title. Has original six volt system. Have replaced door and window gaskets on driver’s side and have materials for passenger side. Passenger window needs replacing. OD reads 61,295 but given the age it could be 161K or 561K. Believe this was originally a California vehicle as a 1951 CA plate came with the truck. It is a straight six, four in the floor with a floor starter pedal. Needs emergency brake work. New aftermarket directional, bench seat cover replaced as well as door panels and installed a rear view mirror which was not original equipment. Truck was originally black but received a coat of green at some point. Only a few very small spots of rust on body. I love it but just don’t use it enough to warrant keeping it. "Max" is just waiting for someone to restore her.

It is a short box that has been lowered and given a custom paint job w/ tribal ghost flames. Shaved door handles. Rear bumper removed and a roll pan added. A black vinyl bed cover. It has Centerline wheels with low pro tires with excellent tread.
The truck has the factory bench seat.
The truck has front power disc brakes and power steering.
The engine is the stock 250 ci inline 6. It has a 4-speed on the floor with granny low. It has a 12-bolt rearend with multi-leaf springs.
The horn, lights and windshield wipers all work fine.
The truck runs very well and is dependable. It drives and rides very well for being lowered.
This truck is just begging for a V8! I have a factory stock 1978 Chevy 350 engine that I could sell with the truck. Or you can enjoy it as it is with the straight 6.
The work on this truck was completed a few years ago and it has been driven, so it is not perfect. But a very nice daily driver!

72 Chevy Suburban, ¾ ton chassis, 350, 4 speed manual, 4 wheel drive, Detroit Locker rear end (posi-traction) so all four wheels dig in. 16” wheels. Duel fuel tanks, passenger seat available. All original except HEI ignition, headers and 4 barrel Edelbrock. This is a hard workin’ truck that has been well cared for. 278K miles, estimate. Dealer installed 350 is the second engine and has about 50K on it. Truck has new; battery, new exhaust from the headers back, drive shafts, shocks and differential seals. Radiator is about seven years old. Recent new windshield, steering wheel, dash pad and re-covered front seat. This rig spent most of it’s life as a surveyor’s rig working the Umpqua National Forest in Oregon. I have owned this rig since 1993 and it has never been out of Oregon during that time until this August, when it pulled a 14,000 pound trailer cross country to Maryland. Other than some trouble from bad fuel, it never missed a lick. Truck is reliable and tough. It has never been abused. It has some rust in the rocker panels. Many new and spare parts. The only reason I am selling this faithful rig is my wife needs something to drive and her pretty short legs won’t reach the pedals. Yeah, I know what you’re thinkin’. It has crossed my mind a few times. Why don’t I just keep the truck and get a new wife with longer legs. But ya know, they’re both keepers. She is priceless. The truck is $4400. 503-358-0523 Jonesmd7@yahoo.com

It is GM green body(new Paint 4yrs old)with a white Cab with amber lights on top. New GM crate 350 motor with < 1,300 miles on it. New inner motor fender skirts. Cab corners are good with no rust..a big deal with these trucks. New Edelbrock manifold and Q-jet 4 barrel carb. Reconditioned GM instrument panel.. WOW!! Runs excellent and burns regular unleaded. Too many new parts to list. P/S and P/B with no a/c. Receive many nice compliments on this truck. It is not the Cheyenne model and is the basic chevy 4x4. Steering wheel has been replaced. Way too many new parts to list but will be glad to e-mail what has been done. Over 23K invested and asking 15,500 or bring a decent offer.. The dead beats are out there. Bed liner could be replaced with a spray in liner. That was my last move on this nice truck which I did not do. Bought another truck and have no more room for this beauty. Willing to deal.. so lets get happy…………Everything works on this truck……….
